Tess is an artist and teacher from Houston, Texas. She received her BFA in Ceramics and Creative Writing from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2010. Since, she has been a resident artist at the Armory Art Center and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts, and completed a year of post-baccalaureate study at the University of Houston, Clear Lake. At Watershed, she had the honor of making 500 plates for their annual Salad Days fundraiser. Tess is a studio potter by trade, but also takes interest in many forms of creating including: bookbinding, needle felting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting, drawing, writing, photography, and many others. She is a self-proclaimed collector of hobbies.
